The Pilgrim got its start in Louisville, KY during the summer of 2005.
Our mission: To help fill in some gaping-gaps in the then-current concert scene. We jumped right in to the national touring level and wouldn't you know our very first show got bumped due to Hurricane Rita? 'Twas the season and is one of many stories. (Curious? Since that auspicious beginning the Pilgrim has honed itself as a boutique concert promotion partnership with a focus on all parts and pieces from the Americana genre and beyond. This has allowed us a broad flexibility in booking national artists across that particular spectrum, along with other styles that have tickled it with their influences over time -- which is a pretty good excuse to book who we want and who we like. We do manage to justify many tastes, tending to jump in with a hands-on, can-do attitude to clear new paths on the musical map side of life. Pilgrim is proud to be a part of of Louisville's thriving live music scene, surely a measure of any strong city. Onward!
